“On February 6, at 13:24 Moscow time, the seismological network of the regional seismic protection service of Armenia recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7, 60 km northeast of the city of Kahramanmarash,” RIA Novosti quotes a statement.
It is noted that in Yerevan the earthquake was of magnitude 3, and in Gyumri - 3-4.
Earlier in Turkey there were earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6.
According to the latest data, the death toll due to tremors has risen to 1014.
