Invited to Léna Mahfouf's "Six-seater sofa" podcast, Marion Cotillard gave her opinion on the recent controversy targeting "nepo babies", the "daughters and sons of" who have become stars like their famous parents.

The actress notably defended Lily-Rose Depp who is, according to her, "an extraordinary actress".

Asked by Léna Mahfouf about the recent cover of

New York Magazine 

which attacked "nepo babies", these children of stars who have succeeded in the fashion, music or cinema industry, Marion Cotillard went up to the niche.

"From the moment we have talent, we will be able to make a career", she first reacted.

"If we don't have one, if we're not in our place, it's going to end pretty quickly. There's not really a subject about it. Especially since the people who were on this cover, there are extremely talented people. They have nothing to do on a cover that disrespects working people", continues the actress who then took the example of Lily-Rose Depp, the daughter of Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp.

Both are muses for the Chanel brand and therefore meet regularly at fashion shows during Fashion Week.
