Recently, in Guangxi's Beilun River Estuary National Nature Reserve, people planted mangrove seedlings in the empty patch area of the reserve.

In 2020, the "Special Action Plan for Mangrove Protection and Restoration (2020-2025)" issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the National Forestry and Grassland Administration proposes to scientifically carry out ecological restoration of mangroves, expand the area of mangroves, and increase biodiversity.

It is clearly required that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period in Guangxi, the task of building and restoring mangroves is 1,000 hectares.

The Beilun Estuary Reserve has recently carried out a key engineering project for the protection and restoration of typical coastal wetland ecosystems in the Beibu Gulf. It is planned to restore 3,613 acres of mangroves naturally and artificially.

The mangrove forest is a rare marine biodiversity reserve, Binhai National Wetland Park and popular science education base in southern China.

Mangroves, known as "Sea Forest", "Coast Guard" and "Ocean Green Lung", are not only an important habitat for rare and endangered waterfowl, but also closely related to the balance of the marine ecosystem.
