February 1 marked the birthday of Lisa Marie Presley, the King's only daughter, who died of a heart attack aged 54 last month.

The opportunity for Priscilla Presley to express her desire to preserve the unity of her family even though a conflict opposes her to her granddaughter, Riley Keough, designated as the sole administrator of the estate at her expense.

“Today Lisa would have celebrated her 55th birthday.

My wish is to protect my three grandchildren and for our family to be united,” the 77-year-old ex-wife of Elvis Presley wrote on Instagram, captioning a photo of her baby daughter and she.

“From the moment I held Lisa in my arms, I protected, loved and guided her.

Our hearts are broken, and I have to learn to live without my only daughter.

Something fishy

When unveiling her daughter's will, Priscilla Presley was amazed to find that the management of Elvis Presley's estate which, in principle, should have belonged to her, actually belonged to her grandchildren, namely Riley and Benjamin. Keough, the latter having ended his life in 2020. A testamentary modification which took place in 2016 but which Priscilla Presley opposes today, considering it legally invalid.

For his part, Riley Keough, now the only manager of the immense legacy of the King, has chosen to remain silent.
