In his session, Al-Murr referred to the developments witnessed by the country in this field, saying, “Cultural activities continued after the opening of the first library, as different branches of these libraries were opened in different neighborhoods in Dubai, and they were constantly developed, leading to the opening of the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, which is a unique cultural edifice on the world level.”

In his session, Al-Murr touched on various topics related to the interest of the new generation in reading, the responsibility of community members in encouraging the new generation to read, and the efforts of countries to protect the Arabic language, stressing the role of various agencies and institutions in encouraging reading, the importance of caring for the Arabic language instilling in the new generation, and the role of institutions Education in simplifying and consolidating the Arabic language among students at an early age.

Al-Murr addressed the great role played by the local media through the preparation and presentation of cultural programs on the various visual, audio and print channels, and their role in spreading the Arabic language and the culture of reading, especially among the new generations that require special attention to the development of the language, saying: “I had some journalistic activities in the past, where I wrote an article in Al-Bayan newspaper in which I indicated the necessity of establishing public libraries in residential neighborhoods due to their great importance, which received interaction from officials at the time, so libraries were established in different branches in residential neighborhoods.

He pointed to the availability of all facilities that allow readers of all ages to access different books through printed or audio books, especially with the development of technology that made it easier for everyone to access scientific references easily and with better levels and capabilities than before.
