It is an eminence in the world of beauty treatments.

Josep Lupión

(Barcelona, February 2, 1972) is part of the select group of discreet Spanish

facialists

certified in Kobido, a Japanese massage with more than 540 years of history, and

Deep Face Lifting,

a non-invasive natural treatment against facial aging.

It will be on January 26 and 27 at the Spa of the

Four Seasons

Hotel , one of the best in Madrid, serving guests and locals at a price of 600 euros for two hours, to oxygenate the skin with an emotional discharge, and 450 euros for one hour and a half, for the protocol that molds the face fighting against the passage of time.

This man from Barcelona is one of the only professionals in Spain certified in the master's degree, the massage of massages.FS

Why did you feel that impulse to train in the Kobido technique? Kobido came into my life as a need to unite my knowledge with an inner part that until then was not being heard.

At the right time.

I was looking for harmony between my profession and my essence

.

What professional world did you come from previously?

Before learning about this type of massage, I worked in a medical center where I did the most therapeutic part, such as osteopathy (OBC) Shiatsu, even equipment for different problems but always focused on the body.

In those 12 years I never thought about Kobido.

At the end of this stage, I suppose that unconsciously due to that internal search that was becoming more and more intense, it was when my mind opened that possibility.

I felt that I needed a change and to connect with myself.

.

I began to investigate and investigate and Kobido appeared there. What differentiates this title from other experts and why are there so few people who have it? The difference lies in the difficulty of the execution and that it involves long sessions.

To perform Kobido at the highest level you have to have absolute control.

A physical dexterity to master the large number of very complex manoeuvres, above all, because each hand makes a different movement and simultaneously.

But at the same time you have to be subtle.

Each maneuver has a world of nuances and if we choose the wrong movement or intensity according to the person in front of us, we run the risk of the Kobido experience disappearing.

I always say that you have to

caress the soul of people

, that's how deep a session should be.

One of the differences is that the vast majority of facialists are used to working only on pressure and that makes this paradigm shift very difficult.

Although Kobido also has deep and intense techniques, its great value is being able to go to

that range where less is more.

Where has he worked and how does he feel in a luxury hotel like the Four Seasons?

In different places throughout Spain but always based in my center located on the outskirts of Barcelona.

Being well and feeling comfortable in the place where you give one of these massages is essential.

To be honest, working at this

spa

goes further.

It is a space where even the smallest detail is taken care of.

Tranquility, good taste, aromas, sounds, lights... everything that is needed to predispose people to spend a moment of

relaxation

here is perfectly aligned and in harmony.

That, in a treatment as exquisite as mine, makes the experience rise to another level.

I could compare it a bit with my treatment,

it is difficult to explain it, you have to live it.

What are the physical benefits of Kobido?

It is a ritual in itself that goes far beyond a massage.

I like to say that it is difficult to imagine it no matter how much you watch a video or they tell you.

To mention some of the sensations, physical in this case, is to

feel that there are up to six hands working at the same time

.

Added to the alternation of techniques at high speed, they make our brain have to stop controlling, understand and anticipate what is happening.

Enter a state where the person notices wonderful sensations such as weightlessness, trips to other places... And mental? At a deeper level, what is achieved is to

release emotions retained in our face

due to bad management.

The result is, above all, a person with calm and peace, in addition to a very notable aesthetic improvement, since we will awaken fibroblasts, oxygenate the tissue, eliminate toxins... It translates into an elevation of the cheekbones and ovals, attenuation of wrinkles and illuminating the skin

Are there secrets to do it well? Without a doubt, practice, dedication and respect for this technique make a difference.

There is a physical aspect that is achieved

by training a thousand times

, and also performing specific exercises to have those parts of the body very prepared to withstand execution speeds with long levers maintained for long minutes.

In my case, at the beginning there were long periods traveling to other countries to learn from the best.

Now I feel that I have mastered the technique, as a rule I

never stop training for a single day

, even though I have done treatment hours before.

Would you say that you have to have a special sensitivity? In the same way as the technique, it is something that has to be trained.

You must learn to feel, to listen to that body, to know what it needs and in what way.

It is like leaving oneself to integrate into a whole.

That is

the magic that makes this the massage of massages.

Do you remember any special anecdote of a client that marked you?

I have treated many well-known people from Spain and abroad.

But the reality that, when a session begins, stops being a recognized or famous person to become a person with their stories, emotions, anxieties, shortcomings... It is there when my work enters into coherence to be able to help balance those mismatches and as a side effect that she looks much more beautiful and empowered in all aspects.

At the level of anecdotes, I could tell some funnier ones and others emotional ones.

But I prefer to keep those moments of gratitude and emotions on the surface of my skin in a privileged place in my heart. Do you think that wellness experiences are valued more after the pandemic than before?

Absolutely yes.

We have spent more than two years where people have learned to value their care more.

Where we have been deprived of many very basic things, such as contact between us.

It has been a turning point where consciences have been awakened and valued respecting, loving and liking oneself

in the most natural way possible.

It has to be a priority, because it will give us a better emotional balance. What is the good and the less good of your job?

I am privileged because I work in what I like and I am passionate about.

And because, also,

with my work I know that in one way or another I am helping some people with their emotions.

, with their self-esteem and, therefore, in their way of relating to the world.

That is very rewarding.

I am also lucky to be able to travel to different cities and countries teaching everything I know to those who want to start in this magical world of Kobido, which is a brutal energy exchange.

I would say what I like the least is spending long periods away from home and away from nature. Do you have a plan B or do you see your whole life dedicated to your privileged hands?

Honestly, I haven't thought much about this.

I choose to focus on the day to day.

I really believe in the energy and vibration of each person and being in the right frequency opens doors in the form of collaborations, beautiful people and projects.

I prefer not to be distracted by hypothetical futures

and enjoy this journey every day.
