After conducting castings all over the world, the production team of the biopic on the life of Michael Jackson finally decided to entrust the role of the king of pop to his nephew Jaafar Jackson.

The 26-year-old is the son of Jermaine Jackson, the "Thriller" singer's older brother.

End of suspense.

We finally know the face of the one who will play the role of Michael Jackson in

Michael,

the biopic dedicated to the life of the king of pop.

The film's producer, Graham King, announced that he had chosen Jaafar Jackson, 26, who is none other than... Michael Jackson's nephew!

“It was clear that he was the only person who could take on this role”

Jaafar Jackson is indeed the son of the older brother of Michael Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, singer and former member of the Jackson 5. Like his uncle and his father, the young man sings and dances from an early age.

He released his first single,

Got Me Singing

in 2019. "Even after conducting global castings, it was clear that he was the only person who could take on this role", enthused the producer Graham King, to whom we owe the film

Bohemian Rhapsody.

"I met Jaafar over two years ago and was blown away by how he personified the spirit and personality of Michael," he also confided in the columns of

The Hollywood Reporter

"I'm honored to be able to bring my uncle's story to life"

The lucky winner Jaafar Jackson is also delighted to embark on this new adventure.

"I'm so honored to be able to bring my Uncle Michael's story to life. To all the fans around the world, see you soon," he wrote on Twitter.

I'm humbled and honored to bring my Uncle Michael's story to life.
