In Fukaura Town, Aomori Prefecture, visitors are entertained by the “ice curtain,” which is covered with icicles caused by groundwater that seeps out from cliffs.

The "Ice Curtain" is made up of groundwater seeping out from the rock surface of the cliff near Senjojiki Station on the JR Gono Line in Fukaura Town.

This year, an "ice curtain" of about 100 meters wide and 20 meters high was seen, and visitors enjoyed the scenery unique to this time and took pictures.

A man in his 60s who visited from Hirosaki said, "I came to see it for the first time, but I was surprised at the wonderful scenery."

Also, a man who runs a guest house nearby said, "I hope people who come here by JR sightseeing trains will enjoy it."

According to Fukaura Town, if this cold weather continues, it is expected that the "ice curtain" can be enjoyed until mid-February.
