At 14:55 on January 27, the Gufoping Cableway in Hongya Wawu Mountain Scenic Area suffered a sudden and unpredictable motor burnout failure, causing many tourists to stay on the mountain.
After the fault occurred, the scenic spot quickly activated the emergency plan, activated the backup motor to transport tourists, and sent all the tourists stranded on the mountain down the mountain safely around 22:00 on the same day.
At the same time, Wawushan Scenic Area quickly contacted Beijing and Shanghai technical expert teams and equipment, and arrived at the scenic spot at noon on January 28 to carry out emergency repairs and equipment replacement for the Gufoping Cableway.
At present, thanks to the unremitting efforts of the expert team, the Gufoping Cableway has passed the safety test and will officially resume operation on January 30.
