After the deadly knife attack on a regional train in Brokstedt, Schleswig-Holstein, three injured people were treated in hospitals on Monday.

The condition of a 62-year-old and a 54-year-old from Schleswig-Holstein and a 27-year-old from Hamburg is currently stable, the police reported on Monday.

The three injured are conscious.

Two other 22-year-old injured people from Schleswig-Holstein have already left the hospital.

According to the police, the investigators are recording and questioning those involved and witnesses to the deadly knife attack.

Almost 120 people have now been recorded.

This number is subject to change after the survey is completed.

On January 25, two people were killed on the regional train from Kiel to Hamburg, a 17-year-old and a 19-year-old.

Five people were injured.

An arrest warrant was issued against the alleged perpetrator for two counts of murder and four counts of attempted manslaughter.

The accused is a stateless Palestinian who has been living in Germany since 2014 and has repeatedly committed criminal offenses.

He first lived in North Rhine-Westphalia, later in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg.

In the week before the crime, he was released from a pre-trial detention of about one year in Hamburg.

The background was a not yet final conviction for dangerous bodily harm.

According to the investigators, the motives of the suspect are still completely open.

There are therefore no indications of any terrorist background, nor are there any indications of a possibly planned act.
