Gisèle Fixe is blind.

This morning and like every morning, at the time of going to work, she is guided in the Paris metro – crowded – by her dog Olympe.

“She is super calm despite the crowd.

Thanks to her, I keep my calm,” says Gisèle.

“You have to be careful not to fall because there are so many people, and I can feel it because the dog sometimes doesn't know what to do anymore, underlines the lyrical singing teacher.

So we need to "dope" Olympe a little so that she manages to clear a path for us.

A close relationship

But Olympe is, of course, much more than a guide dog for the blind: “We form a team, there is a real fusion between us, confirms her mistress.

She is particularly affectionate, we almost breathe together!

And as soon as she feels a little stressed, she comes to me to give me a little lick, as if to say "I'm here!"

OUR “DISABILITY” FILE

Gisele's husband is also blind and is also accompanied by a guide dog, Ripley.

"There aren't a lot of couples who have two dogs," smiles Gisèle.

In the house, we are two, my husband and I, plus two female dogs.

People see that we are happy with our dogs.

We are happy despite the handicap”.
