The epicenter was located at 40.01 degrees north latitude and 82.29 degrees east longitude. The epicenter was 105 kilometers away from Alar City of Xinjiang Corps, 141 kilometers away from Shaya County in Aksu Prefecture, and 174 kilometers away from Xinhe County in Aksu Prefecture.
