According to the latest value-added tax invoice data from the State Administration of Taxation, during the Spring Festival holiday, the sales revenue of China's consumption-related industries increased by 12.2% compared with the previous year's Spring Festival holiday, and an average annual increase of 12.4% over the 2019 Spring Festival holiday.

On January 28, the reporter came to Beijing's Xidan business district to learn about the business conditions of the stores during the Spring Festival.

  Since the Spring Festival holiday, the passenger flow has been saturated throughout the day. From the start of the meal, they have been queuing, turning tables, and waiting for a table almost all day long. The overall passenger flow in Xidan business district has recovered very quickly.

  During the Spring Festival, the flow of people is larger than in previous years (Spring Festival), and the turnover has also increased by about 10%.

  Basically, during the entire holiday this year, from the first day of the Lunar New Year to the sixth day of the Lunar New Year, there were about 300 tables lined up every day, and the highest one-day turnover rate was around 7.5, which was the highest ever.

According to data from the Beacon Professional Edition, as of January 27, the total box office for the 2023 Spring Festival (January 21-January 27) has exceeded 6.7 billion yuan.

  As of 21:30 on the evening of January 27, the 2023 Spring Festival stalls (January 21-January 27) had a roughly reported box office of 6.734 billion (yuan), exceeding the total box office performance of the 2022 Spring Festival stalls of 6.04 billion yuan. The total box office of the Spring Festival in film history is second, with a total of 129 million movie viewers, which is more than 10 million more than the 2022 Spring Festival.

The total number of sessions reached 2.6537 million.

Jiangsu Province won the provincial box office champion during the Spring Festival for the third consecutive year, and Shanghai, Beijing, and Chengdu ranked among the top three city box office during the Spring Festival in 2023.

According to calculations by the Data Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, during the Spring Festival holiday this year, 308 million domestic tourists traveled in China, a year-on-year increase of 23.1%; domestic tourism revenue was 375.843 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 30%.
