This year's "Sapporo Snow Festival" will be held at a venue for the first time in three years, and at Odori Park in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, which is the main venue, in addition to the large snow sculptures, there will also be small-sized sculptures made by citizens. 58 snow sculptures will also be exhibited.



The construction of the small snow sculptures began on the 28th, and the citizens who had gathered marked a square mass of snow about 3 meters high based on the blueprints, and then proceeded by shaving off the snow with a shovel. I was.



Among them, a man who will make a snow statue of Mr. Antonio Inoki said, "This is the first time I participated with my company colleagues. I want to bring energy to those who come to see Mr. Inoki's statue."



According to the festival executive committee, in order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, the creators are divided into two groups and their schedules are staggered to avoid close contact.



The "Sapporo Snow Festival" will be held at two venues, the "Odori Site" and the "Susukino Site", for eight days from the 4th to the 11th of next month.
