A 38-year-old woman living in the city was confirmed to have been found in a severed body from a carry case on an embankment in Wakayama City.
A man in his 50s who had a relationship with a woman was found drowned in a river near the embankment, and police are investigating the incident.
On the 18th of this month, on the road along the embankment in Kitajima, Wakayama City, two carry cases were found in a light passenger car that had been stopped, and a severed body was found inside.
As a result of investigating the police as an abandoned body case and confirming the identity, it turned out to be Natsuya Hirayanagi (38), whose occupation is unknown, in Ibe, Wakayama City.
According to the police, it is believed that he died around the 17th, the day before the carry case was found.
On the other hand, a man in his 50s was found drowned in a river near the embankment, and a man's license was left in a light passenger car with a carry case.
Police are investigating the relationship between the man and the incident because he had a friendship with Mr. Hirayanagi.
