We are calling for information.

In November last year, Shinji Miyadai (63), a sociologist and professor at Tokyo Metropolitan University in Hachioji, Tokyo, was cut by a man with a knife and suffered a serious injury that took six weeks to heal.

Last month, the Metropolitan Police Department released a video of a man captured on a security camera immediately after the incident and called for information, but it was not identified and released a new video on the 27th.

The released video was taken in Miyashita Honmachi, Chuo-ku, Sagamihara City, about 4 hours before the incident occurred, and it can be seen that the person is riding a white or silver bicycle.

This time, he is wearing a black hat instead of the orange knit hat he wore immediately after the incident.

Also, in the photo taken in Kamiyuki, Hachioji City, around 7:20 pm, about 3 hours after the incident, you can see the back of the man walking calmly with his hat off.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, along the river flowing between Sagamihara City and Machida City, Tokyo, the man went north from Chuo Ward, Sagamihara City, headed for the university, and after the incident, went south again along the river and escaped.

The man was about 1.80 to 90 cm tall, wore a dark jumper and trousers, and had a gray and black rucksack.
