The Swedish police took over the protection of this extremist, who holds Swedish citizenship, while he was burning the Qur’an, in the presence of the media to film the crime.
The presenter of the "Above the Power" program considered what happened as a mixture of ignorance and hatred against Islam, in a clear message of Sweden's anger at Turkey because of its refusal to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization "NATO".
Ankara refuses Stockholm's accession to NATO due to the latter's failure to fight Kurdish groups that Ankara describes as terrorist. On the other hand, thousands of Turks took to the streets to protest because of what happened, as the protesters burned the Swedish flag to condemn the incident.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was quick to criticize Sweden by announcing its non-acceptance of its accession to NATO, describing the crimes of burning the Qur'an and licensing it as "traitorous, scoundrel and despicable act." The Minister of Defense also canceled a scheduled visit by his Swedish counterpart to Ankara.
For his part, the Swedish Foreign Minister described the anti-Islamic provocations as appalling, but his country respects the great freedom of expression, according to the minister.
Religion and family abolition
The Lebanese priest Abdullah accused the educational curricula in Sweden of abolishing religion and the family, and that it allows all taboos, and leads to daily suicides of children and youth. He accused the laws of glorifying and encouraging homosexuality, and he also criticized the freedom to kidnap children, especially Muslim children there.
The Swedish government does not find any embarrassment in placing abducted children from their families with homosexual couples, as happened with the Turkish Maryam and the Macedonian Abdullah.
