At the end of last year, the radio duo Louise Epstein and Thomas Nordegren announced that they would close the program "Nordegren and Epstein" after twelve years together in P1.

Yesterday, the end was celebrated with a gala broadcast from the Berwaldhallen in Stockholm.

In the very last and twice as long live broadcast, there were guests such as Horace Engdahl, the Radio Symphony Orchestra and First Aid Kit.

- The best thing is when listeners have told us that they were very down and depressed and then they had a routine of listening to us at three o'clock and felt that this was anti-depressant.

It has meant a lot to me, says Louise Epstein.

Thomas Nordgren also highlights how the radio duo and the media have created a strong commitment among listeners.

- You become part of their habits, you drink coffee, fall asleep or have sex when you listen to us and when we disappear, many people are disturbed that their routines disappear, says Thomas Nordgren.

New presenters take over

During Tuesday, it was also clear that it will be Katherine Zimmerman who will take over from the radio duo "Nordgren and Epstein".

Together with Jonas Bonnier, Parisa Amiri and Kristoffer Ahonen Appelquist, she will broadcast between 15 and 16 on weekdays in P1.

On January 30, the first program of "Talkshow" will be broadcast.
