According to the Seattle Police and local media on the 26th (local time), Sam Kim's father, Mr. Kim, was shot and killed by a robber at his restaurant near Rainier Avenue in Seattle on the night of the 13th.
The funeral of his deceased was held on the 24th in Seattle as a farewell service to heaven.
About 200 people attended the funeral, including the consul general in Seattle and the president of the Seattle Korean Association.
On this day, Sam Kim changed the song "Don't Worry", a song she had written for her mother, into lyrics for her father and dedicated it, turning the funeral home into a sea of tears.
Regarding the funeral of Sam Kim's father, the management company Antenna said, "Sam Kim has suffered the loss of his father. We would be grateful if you could pray for condolences and rest in peace so that the message can be conveyed deep in her heart. We wish the deceased a rest in peace."
Sam Kim made her debut as a singer in 2016 by winning runner-up on SBS' 'K-Pop Star Season 3'.
He is loved by his music fans for his outstanding guitar skills and soulful voice.
