In response to soaring fuel costs, Hokkaido Electric Power will increase the price plan called "regulated rate", which most of the electricity charges for households contract, by an average of 32.17% from June 1st to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. I applied.

Hokkaido Electric Power Co. applied for a price increase on the 26th for a rate plan called "regulated rate", which more than 70% of the low-voltage electricity rates mainly used by households contract.

The average price increase is 32.17%, and we aim to raise the price from June 1st.

Regarding the reason for applying for the price increase, Hokkaido Electric Power said that the cost of supplying electricity has risen significantly due to soaring fuel costs.

Government approval is required to raise the "regulated rate", and the focus will be on how much the rate increase will be reduced by the review.

If the price increase is approved, it will be the first since 2014, when management deteriorated due to the long-term shutdown of the Tomari Nuclear Power Station.

At a press conference, Hokkaido Electric Power President Hiroshi Fujii said, "I am truly sorry about the price increase. I would like to explain it carefully to customers and focus on ensuring a stable supply of electricity."
