Oriental Land, which operates Tokyo Disney Resort, will hold a commemorative parade in various parts of the prefecture because this year will be the 40th anniversary of the opening of the park and the 150th anniversary of the birth of Chiba Prefecture.

The commemorative parade will be held under a comprehensive cooperation agreement between Chiba Prefecture and Oriental Land.

The implementation date is undecided, but in addition to Urayasu City, where Tokyo Disney Resort is located, special parades with Mickey Mouse and other characters are planned at several locations in the prefecture.

We are also considering events based on the agreement.

This is the first time that Oriental Land has concluded such a comprehensive agreement with a local government, and Governor Kumagai said, "We would like to expand the circle of people who are responsible for culture and arts through this agreement."

In addition, Kenji Yoshida, president of Oriental Land, said, "Through the collaborative business, we would like to have a closer connection with the people of Chiba Prefecture and further contribute to regional revitalization."
