Why this book?
Because this book is a sharing of life, we follow a patriarch
from 1951 to 1982 and his family, it is often said that each human being is a bridge between two generations, the central character, Jean Clément, is a transmitter and a witness.
He will experience the transformations of family relations and wear his affection for his little girl when he forbade himself for his children.
It is a story of solid and knotty friendship like a vine between a winegrower and a hotelier, who met in the Resistance and who will each accompany each other throughout their lives.
Because this book is a territory, that of Touraine
and we feel a deep attachment of Evelyne Chamaillé for this region.

The novel is often punctuated by the news of the period of the story, the reader is immersed at the same time as the characters in their time, the opportunity for us to relive the highlights of our contemporaries.
