A part-time teacher working at an elementary school in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, was arrested for possessing cannabis with a partner for the purpose of selling it.

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating in detail where cannabis is obtained and sold.

Two people were arrested: Ayaka Abe (28), who works as a part-time teacher at an elementary school in Setagaya Ward, and Kyotaro Demachi (31), a self-employed partner.



According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the two are suspected of violating the Cannabis Control Law by possessing more than 2 grams of dried cannabis for the purpose of selling it in an apartment in Shibuya Ward where they live together.



Around November last year, there was information that "Demachi suspect possesses cannabis", and when searching the apartment, dried cannabis was found.



According to the investigation, both of them have admitted to the allegations.
