Xinhua News Agency, Tianjin, January 25 (Reporters Wang Jinghuai, Liang Sister) The canteen at the Tianjin Base of the Fifth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation has basically never had a holiday since it opened in 2012, and this Spring Festival is no exception.

Because there are always a group of astronauts who stick to their posts.

During the Spring Festival, Yan Junfeng, who has worked for 11 years, and other canteen staff added two meat and two vegetables to the original dishes for the astronauts on duty during the Spring Festival. They also prepared dumplings with six kinds of fillings on New Year’s Eve and the first day of the new year.

"We do it differently every day, so that everyone can taste the taste of home here." Yan Junfeng said, shaking his spoon.

The Tianjin base of the Fifth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation is the birthplace of the Chinese space station.

Every day, there are many scientific researchers, technicians, and logistics support personnel working overtime here, so that one spacecraft after another will be sent into space without risk of loss in the near future.

The canteen has also become a "supply station" for astronauts during overtime work.

"Post-90s" Meng Qingxin, who has participated in the assembly work of "Chang'e-4" and other satellites, is one of them.

As a satellite assembler, he has not returned to his hometown for the New Year in 3 years.

"Aerospace work has a tight schedule and high requirements. Every process of mine is measured in microns, and there is no room for sloppy work." Meng Qingxin said that working overtime during the Spring Festival will make the subsequent work more calm.

During the Spring Festival holiday this year, more than 200 people at the Tianjin Base of the Fifth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation stuck to their posts.

However, many people do not eat in the cafeteria.

Master Yan Junfeng pointed out the reason: the astronauts chose to be on duty in shifts, and many of them asked their colleagues to bring back boxed lunches to eat in the office when they got busy at work.

"Although the people here are young, they are all hardworking." The service staff in the cafeteria hall can pack dozens of boxes of take-away lunch at most a day.

During the Spring Festival, the dining time in the cafeteria was extended by half an hour.

Holidays are different than usual. Although there are people on duty, one person is worth two or three people, and it is easy to delay eating when you are busy.

For example, the firefighting position is inseparable from people for a moment. Zhang Junsheng, who is in charge of this work, has to wait until his colleagues finish eating dumplings to replace him, and then rush to the cafeteria.

"We can't let them miss the hot meal." Master Yan Junfeng said.

This Spring Festival, there is a big red blessing on the door of the cafeteria, and there is also a big red banner: high quality guarantees success, high efficiency completes tasks, and high efficiency promotes aerospace power and national defense construction.
