More than 510,000 people nationwide applied for the third university entrance common test this year, and the main test was held on the 14th and 15th of this month.
According to the University Entrance Examination Center, out of the 3,893 people who were subject to the supplementary exam this year, a total of 2,138 people were unable to take the exam due to the influence of the new coronavirus, which greatly exceeded the 224 people who were the year before. It increased 4.6 times from last year when it was 465 people.
Of these, the number of people infected with the new coronavirus increased by 1,620 from last year to 1,833, and the number of people who became close contacts increased by 53 from last year to 305.
On the other hand, in this test, even if they became close contacts, they were able to take the test under certain conditions, but the number of asymptomatic close contacts who took the exam in a separate room this year was 412, an increase of 92 from last year.
Make-up exams will be held on the 28th and 29th of this month.
