recently learned from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security that by the end of 2022, the number of people participating in basic pension insurance nationwide will reach 1.05 billion, a year-on-year increase of 24.3 million. 240 million and 290 million respectively.

　　"Since the implementation of national overall planning in January 2022, we have worked with relevant departments to steadily promote various reforms, the coverage of pension insurance has been further expanded, and the fund's revenue and expenditure are generally balanced. In 2022, the annual social insurance fund income will be 7.1 trillion yuan, and the expenditure will be 6.6 trillion yuan. The cumulative balance at the end of the year was 7.4 trillion yuan." Qi Tao, deputy director of the Pension Insurance Department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, said.

　　As of the end of 2022, the number of social security card holders across the country is 1.368 billion, covering 96.8% of the population; the number of electronic social security card users is 715 million, and the cumulative number of visits throughout the year is 11.285 billion.

　　From the perspective of the basic pension insurance for urban and rural residents, in 2022, 19 provinces will increase the provincial basic pension standard on the basis of the central government's increase in the national basic pension standard for urban and rural residents.

Among them, Jiangsu Province has adjusted the provincial minimum standards for basic pensions of urban and rural residents' endowment insurance for 11 consecutive years.

　　From the point of view of the personal pension as a supplement to the basic pension insurance system, on November 25, 2022, the personal pension system will be implemented first in 36 cities or regions.

As of the end of 2022, the number of individual pension participants is 19.54 million, the number of contributors is 6.13 million, and the total payment amount is 14.2 billion yuan.
