As we welcome the new year 2023, it's time to meet people who are looking forward to greater success this year.

Nightline Guest Seat Today (26th) is a world-class crump dance team that boasts overwhelming energy and skills.

I am with Kim Tae-hyun and Park Chan-gyu of 'Prime Kings'.

Q. Last year's 'Crump' dance imprinted on the public...

How was it?

[Kim Tae-Hyun (Tricks)/Street Dancer: Since we inform the public through a program called Smanpa, in the case of these days, they find out a lot even when passing by, and the scope of broadcasting activities is that we are originally underground, street dance culture. If so, I am so grateful that I am doing various things such as over-scene photoshoots and advertisements.]

Q. 'Crump'...

What kind of dance would you like to introduce?

[Park Chan-gyu (Nux)/Street Dancer: Actually, it's actually a street dance genre that started with black people in the late 90's.

It is a dance style that is very intense and powerful to be seen, but in fact, it is a dance that is very emotional on the outside and focuses more on free release.

So, it seems that many people like that kind of natural and powerful, and not only that, but also using tricks, shoes or hats, and skills called tricks. It seems to be a dance that can be shown.]

Q. Promoted with 'Tricks' and 'Nux'...

What does your nickname mean?

[Kim Tae-Hyun (Tricks)/Street Dancer: I'm using the name Trix, but Trix has a technique called trick, which is a technique inside crump.

As I said before, tricks are techniques that use hats, shoes, t-shirts, and various props. I like tricks and use them well, so my teacher asked me how about tricks.

As he said that, I became Trix.]

[Park Chan-gyu (Nux)/Street Dancer: Nux is actually a word derived from knuckle.

To me, KO others, it started in a little bit like this, but in fact, I think that this kind of power or power is obtained when you realize yourself first and look back at yourself rather than KO others, so it means Nux to me. seems to be more valuable.]

Q. Won the 2018 World Crump Battle…

How was it?

[Kim Tae-hyun (Tricks)/Street Dancer: I think it was my greatest dream and my greatest goal, but even though I won the championship in 2018, when I came back and looked at my life and saw the income I was making, I think it was miserable. At that time.

So should I stop dancing?

I actually heard the feeling of skepticism, so.

But anyway, since this is what I like the most and this is what I am best at, I think I did well because so many people loved and paid attention to it.]

Q. Was there any opposition from your parents when you started dancing?

[Park Chan-gyu (Nux)/Street Dancer: It was very bad.

In fact, I only studied until I was in high school, so at some point while studying, I suddenly thought of it.

I felt that I had very low self-esteem, so I was wondering if there was something that could fill my self-esteem, so I happened to come across a genre of dance called Crump. Since it is a dance that requires you to take care of your inner self, I think that those things have become the driving force that keeps me dancing.]

[Kim Tae-hyun (Tricks)/Street Dancer: Originally, there was no objection to the genre selection of crump, but now I am dancing. In my case, my mother was very against it.

So now she passed away, but now, in the past, my mother was very against it, and my father said, Do something you like.

I think I was able to dance because I got a lot of help from my father because he said that.]

Q. It became a hot topic with the choreography of a girl group/idol song?

[Kim Tae-Hyun (Tricks)/Street Dancer: This is called K-POP cover dance, but among the girl groups, I like New Jeans, so at first it was actually a video we filmed for fun, but many people thought we were too masculine and powerful. I was only looking at the charismatic image, but suddenly they showed cute and fun images like a girl group, so I think I approached them with a different charm.

So I think I will do this sometimes for the fans and sometimes for fun.

(Anchor: I think those things can be another way to reach the public.) That's right.]

Q. What are your goals for the new year and what dreams do you want to achieve in the future?

[Kim Tae-hyun (Tricks)/Street Dancer: It's not a joke, my goal is to earn 5 billion.

Earn 5 billion.

It's funny even when I say it.

The bigger the dream, the better, so I'm trying to earn 5 billion and now I'm trying to get 500,000 followers on SNS.

I felt that I wanted to do something better compared to the skills I had.

And speaking of dreams, winning one more world championship this year and flying the national flag is another dream and goal for this year.]

[Park Chan-gyu (Nux)/Street Dancer: Actually, when I say dancer, I only know how to dance now. I think I showed a lot of different characters or a lot of different people.

So, it is my dream to think that I will also stand on the path and work hard so that dancers can radiate more attractive charm in many media in the future, and that it will come true again.]
