Benjamin Castaldi reacted on the set of "TPMP" to the death of a cat, cut in half by an SNCF train on January 2.

While animal rights activists are calling for a condemnation of the railway company, which has done nothing to save the feline, Cyril Hanouna's columnist believes that there are "much more serious things".

On January 2, a cat was cut in half by an SNCF train, Gare Montparnasse, after escaping from the bag of its masters.

The owners of the animal had however warned the agents of the SNCF that the feline was on the rails of a train.

The association 30 million friends has filed a complaint against the SNCF

The latter did not want to do anything, arousing the indignation of many personalities, including Hugo Clément but also Brigitte Bardot.

The association 30 million friends has filed a complaint against the SNCF for "serious abuse and acts of cruelty".

Monday, January 23, Cyril Hanouna addressed the subject on the set of his show TPMP.

The host asked his columnists if the SNCF should, in their opinion, be condemned following this crushed cat affair.

Benjamin Castaldi surprised everyone by answering "no".

"I am not an executioner"

"Poor cat, I'm sorry, but again, we're not going to put a train late for a cat. I'll say it again, it's terrible, and for the mother, and for the little girl. It's a terrible thing. It's tragic, but that's how it is. I understand the SNCF, we are not going to put a trial and put the boss of the SNCF in jail because there was a cat, "assured the columnist .

"I am not an executioner, (...) but frankly, at the moment, there are things much more serious than this story", he then estimated.

Bernard Montiel rebelled after learning that you could go on the rails without danger.

"It's not electrified, we could very well go on the track and that changes a lot of things. We could have saved him, we really had time to go and get this poor cat", he said. Explain.

Cyril Hanouna, he recalled that the cat was a passenger since his masters had paid him a train ticket.
