The actor gained 20 kilos in six months to put himself in the shoes of Obélix.

, Gilles Lellouche embodies the role of Obelix.

"I gained twenty pounds in six months," revealed the actor on Sunday January 22 on the TF1 set.

But then, how did he manage to gain so much weight in such a short time?  

“We eat 4 to 5 times a day”

“Raclette, cookies… we eat 4 to 5 times a day. I made terrible powders. And I did a lot of bodybuilding”, detailed Gilles Lellouche this Tuesday, January 24 on RTL.

To better slip into the skin of his character, the actor also contacted Gérard Depardieu, the first to have embodied the role of Obélix in the cinema.

"Obelix is ​​France and who was Obelix before? Gérard Depardieu, for the first four films. So succeeding Gérard was complicated in my head," Gilles Lellouche told TF1 on Sunday.

"Obelix is ​​poetry, naivety"

The director of the film, Guillaume Canet, did not want to forget Gérard Depardieu.
