Actor Oh Young-soo (78), who became the first Korean actor to win the Best Supporting Actor Award in the TV category at the Golden Globe Awards for appearing in Netflix's original 'Squid Game', will be tried for the first time next month on charges of indecent assault.

According to the entertainment media Star News on the 24th, Oh Young-soo will attend his first trial on the 3rd of next month on charges of indecent assault at Suwon District Court Seongnam Branch Criminal 6 alone.

Previously, the Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office accepted the objection from victim A about the case that the police had not sent, re-investigated it, and prosecuted Oh Young-soo without detention.

The news of Oh Young-soo's accusation of indecent assault came around November of last year.

According to reports, Oh Young-soo once apologized for making inappropriate physical contact with woman A in 2017.

Afterwards, Mr. A sued Oh Young-soo for indecent assault last year, but it is known that Oh Young-soo insisted to the police that he did it because he said he would not take issue with Mr. A's apology, not admitting the charges.

In addition, Oh Young-soo is said to have denied the allegation of sexual assault, saying, "I just held hands to guide the way around the lake."

However, the prosecution charged that there was evidence to support Oh Young-soo's inappropriate physical contact.
