[Explanation] In July 2022, the Qilian Mountain National Park Wildlife Rescue and Breeding Station was officially established. This is also China's first wildlife rescue and breeding station set up in a national park.

Station manager Li Quanliang and staff member Xu Fengyi are on duty during the 2023 Spring Festival. Their task is to take good care of more than a dozen rescued animals in the station every day.

[Explanation] Xu Fengyi, who was born in 1997, is the "treasure mother" of these rescued animals. She is responsible for the food and hygiene of the animals together with the station manager Li Quanliang. This is the first time she has not returned home for the Spring Festival.

I am on duty here, although I may have some regrets, but in fact, it is a kind of reunion for me to celebrate the New Year with these animals. They may not have celebrated the New Year of humans, so I will spend it with them.

During the Chinese New Year, we will eat what they usually like to eat, but we are not willing to add too much delicious food to them, so that they can celebrate the New Year happily with us.

[Explanation] In the past six months since its establishment, the Qilian Mountain National Park Wildlife Rescue and Breeding Station has accommodated a total of 34 injured wild animals, including 13 wild animals under China's national first-level and second-level key protection. So far, they have been successfully released. 7 wild animals.

Xu Fengyi believes that his work is insignificant to the entire national park, but it is of great significance to himself.

Although my current work is only a small rescue of them, it may not be of great help to the obvious increase in the population of the entire Qilian Mountain National Park, but I think I can appear in their lives, and they appear in my life , We have a very important and unforgettable memory for each other, and we have an unforgettable experience for both parties. I hope that the work on this station will get better and better in the future.

It can also save more animals, have less regrets, and make them less painful.

[Explanation] Every rescued wild animal will be "filed and registered" after inspection, settlement, and photography, and has its own "file".

In addition, station manager Li Quanliang also said that the newly established ambulance station still has a long way to go.

The first is to carry out counterpart guidance and station exchanges in this institution with rich experience in rescue and medical resources inside and outside the province to improve our comprehensive rescue capabilities.

The second is to use this rescue and epidemic prevention base as a display window for the effectiveness of ecological protection in the Qinghai area of Qilian Mountain National Park. While doing a good job in business work, it also does a good job in daily affairs and popular science publicity and education.

The third is to actively communicate and cooperate with relevant units such as university research institutes, various nature reserves, wild animal parks, and organization associations to carry out academic exchanges.

[Explanation] Rescuing wild animals is not only a way to protect animals, but also one of the ways to improve human beings' awareness of harmonious coexistence between humans and animals.

For people and animals, rescue work has double meanings, and it is a platform for two-way learning and growth.
