As many as six Guldbaggar collected it during the evening's gala.

Including the biggest prizes, Best Film and Best Director.

Cannes competitor director Tarik Saleh's political thriller "Boy from heaven" was nominated in seven categories and took home a Golden Beetle, specifically for Best Screenplay.

- It feels incredible, it's my first Gold Beetle.

We have won Best Film for "The Nile Hilton Incident", but I have never won a gold medal myself, says Saleh to Kulturnyheterna.

Comedy Queen praised 

The comedy film Comedy Queen was nominated in six categories and won in one.

A teary-eyed Sigrid Johnson won Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance as Sasha, the award being her first Gold Bug.

- Oh my God, there are so many people I want to thank, I have loved recording Comedy Queen, said Sigrid Johnson in her acceptance speech.

The golden bug for Best Male Actor in a Leading Role went to Granit Rushiti for his portrayal of the football star from Malmö in "I'm Zlatan".

Demonstrations for Iran

During the gala, demonstrations in support of the protests in Iran took place.

In solidarity with Iranian women's fight for their freedom, 43 Swedish women, including Carola and Lena Endre, went out in an appeal in a film by the screenwriter Sara Zommorodi, who also manifested their support on the red carpet.
