The National Arab Orchestra revived two nights of Arab music and lyrical heritage at Al-Majaz Theatre, in which it restored colors of rapture in the spirit of the era. Founder and conductor of the orchestra, artist Michael Ibrahim.
At the orchestra's first concert, last Friday, the "Hala in Majaz" audience met singer Reham Abdel Hakim and artist Muhannad Mashleh, who took the audience on an artistic journey to learn about the treasures of the Egyptian and Syrian musical heritage.
Reham Abdel Hakim excelled in performing songs by art legends in Egypt, while Muhannad Mashallah entertained the audience with his euphoric voice and his performance of the works of art giants from Syria and Lebanon, as well as singing folklore from the Arab musical heritage with a modern vision.
The two artists took turns singing a bunch of songs, such as “Lola Al-Malamah”, “Amana Alik”, “I Love You”, “Once Upon a Place” and “I am my heart for you inclined”, and other songs that left an imprint in the history of Arab music and singing, and made Reham Abdel Hakim sing. The audience sings "You Are My Life" by Kawkab Al Sharq, Mrs. Umm Kulthum.
As for the second concert of the "Orchestra" the day before yesterday, it was a journey into the world of word and melody, accompanied by the artist Abeer Nema and the artist Marai Sarhan, who renewed the artistic legacy of the Rahbani brothers, Mrs. Fayrouz, Sultan Al-Qudud of Aleppo, Sabah Fakhri and other symbols of the original song, as well as excerpts from Andalusia.
Abeer Nehme and Marai Sarhan shined with a bouquet of songs celebrating the great Arab singers, as they entertained the audience with the performance of “Salute him”, “May God be pleased with you”, “O bird”, “My homeland”, “Say to the good”, “When will you know” and “You came with your time.” ».
The two concerts of Al-Majaz Theater revived the audience's relationship with the heritage of Arabic song, in line with the direction of the Al-Majaz Theater management to take care of the authentic Arabic music library in support of the vision of the Emirate of Sharjah in preserving heritage and ancient arts and presenting them to new generations in a modern style.

The two concerts of the National Arab Orchestra succeeded in connecting the link between the past and the present through sound spaces that evoked the best musical styles of the giants and symbols of the Arabic song.
