“The week of thaw in Central Russia has practically eaten away the cold deviation of the average monthly temperature associated with the Christmas frosts, and already now there is a zero balance.

The final week of January in the region will be marked by mild frosts,” he said.

According to him, the air temperature will be 3-5 °C higher than the normal climatic norm.

He also noted that in the first half of the week the night temperature will fluctuate around -4...-9 °C, and around 0...-5 °C during the day.

“On Thursday, with the approach of the atmospheric front, light snow will fall in the evening, which will intensify a little on Friday, taking on a massive character associated with the North Atlantic cyclone, and will continue until Saturday night,” Tishkovets said.

Over the weekend, as the forecaster added, Muscovites will expect a slight cooling.
