An event was held in Nara City to enjoy the historic scenery of Yakushiji Temple, a World Heritage Site, from the air on a hot air balloon.
This event was planned by a group of local accommodation facilities so that visitors can enjoy the streets of the ancient capital of Nara from the air.
On the 22nd, participants who made reservations in advance gathered at the parking lot of Yakushiji Temple, a World Heritage Site, and boarded a hot air balloon with a guide staff.
When the flames were jetted from the balloon's burner, the balloon, which was connected with four ropes, slowly rose to a height of about 25 meters above the sky.
From the balloon, participants could see the cityscape of Nara, lined with historical buildings such as Yakushiji Temple and Toshodaiji Temple, and participants waved their hands and looked at the scenery in the distance.
A woman in her 50s living in Nara City, who participated with her friend, said, "It was really beautiful because we were able to see the scenery from above, which we usually only see from below."
This event will be held only on Saturdays and Sundays until the 5th of next month, and reservations are already full.
