Chinanews.com, Ningbo, January 22 (Lin Bo Fu Jia defending the title) "Captain Wang, Happy New Year! You have worked hard during the Spring Festival, everyone has worked hard, and you must pay attention to construction safety during the festival." On January 22, at the coast of the East China Sea On the Fenghua River in the People's Republic of China, Suolang Zhaxi, a law enforcement officer from the Yinfeng Maritime Affairs Division of the Ningbo Maritime Safety Administration of the People's Republic of China, shuttled through multiple water engineering operation sites to carry out relevant ship inspections.

Solang Tashi is a "post-90s" Tibetan youth. This year is his fifth year in the coastal city of Ningbo, and it is also his second Spring Festival in his post.

There are 29 bridges in the area under the jurisdiction of Yinfeng Maritime Affairs Office where Solan Zhaxi works, and it is the grassroots maritime office with the largest number of bridges in the area under the jurisdiction of Ningbo Maritime Safety Administration.

Guarding the safety of bridge construction is one of his daily tasks, and it is also a key task for this year's Spring Festival.

During the Spring Festival in 2022, Xindian Bridge, a key livelihood project connecting Haishu and Yinzhou, is still under intense construction.

Today, Xindian Bridge is full of traffic and bustling.

"This year's Spring Festival, another key project in Ningbo—the Yinzhou Avenue Expressway crossing the Fenghua River Bridge is under construction." Suolang Zhaxi shuttled on the Fenghua River, ensuring the safety of the bridge's water construction and guarding the safety of ships' navigation.

"Whenever I see the bridges on the river being completed and opened to traffic, the traffic on the bridges is busy, and the ships under the bridges are in an endless stream, I feel a sense of accomplishment and feel that my work is very meaningful." Suolang Tashi said with a smile .

Solang Tashi's hometown is in Lhasa, more than 4,000 kilometers away from Ningbo.

Walking from the Yarlung Zangbo River, he brought the culture and customs of Tibet to the shore of the East China Sea, and let the fragrance of Gesang flowers float on the banks of the Fenghua River.

In his spare time, he often communicates with his colleagues about his life in Tibet and shares beautiful Tibetan songs.

When asked if he would miss his hometown often, he said: "I have adapted to life here now. There is a job I love, food and lovely colleagues here. When cruising the Fenghua River, I often think of the Brahmaputra. This has become my second hometown."

Every year when he goes back to his hometown to visit relatives, no matter how full his schedule is, he will set aside time to come to the elementary school in his hometown to share with the children what he has seen and heard on the coast of the East China Sea.

"Sorang Tashi is an outstanding youth representative from our hometown. The safety knowledge he told the children and the experience of the big port are really precious. He not only brought the ocean, port and safety knowledge back to the snow-covered plateau, but also planted seeds for the children. The next seed of 'from the snow-covered plateau to the deep blue sea' will inspire the children to move towards a broader and brighter tomorrow." Recalling the scene when Solang Tashi came to teach the children, a teacher at Chabala Township Primary School in Qushui County Dan Zeng said so.

Between the two "hometowns", Solang Tashi has connected a "bridge" across mountains, seas, ethnic groups and cultures invisibly.

"Going home this year, I plan to continue walking into the school to carry out water safety knowledge education activities. Although my strength is very limited, I think it is meaningful. Every time I see the children's expressions full of curiosity and anticipation, it seems to have seen I used to see the seeds of hope sprouting." Solang Tashi said.
