According to the China Manned Space Project News and Propaganda Office, on January 21, the second "Tiangong Painting Exhibition" was officially launched at the China Space Station.

On the occasion of family reunion on New Year's Eve, the crew of Shenzhou 15 astronauts on a business trip sent a special "New Year's gift" to teenagers across the country from the Chinese space station.

With the theme of "painting a beautiful China and talking about a better life", this year's art exhibition is divided into four sections: "imprint of a strong country", "charm of China", "journey to realize dreams" and "taste of happiness".

This time, a total of 40 paintings by young people from 17 provinces (cities, districts) across the country and Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions appeared in the "Tiangong".

"Every painting has a story, carrying the struggles and dreams of the Chinese people, and carrying the unforgettable memories of our home and country in the past ten years." Following the introduction of the astronauts, moving pictures slowly unfolded in people's minds.

Among them, the Huaxia Shenyun section highlights the colorful traditional culture of the land of China, including the quintessence of Peking Opera and folk songs and dances, both the customs of overseas Chinese and the customs of Bashu, both intangible cultural heritage and the multiculturalism of Chinese and Western. The characteristic bright "business card" boarded the "Tiangong", highlighting the beauty of the integration of ancient civilization and modern technology.

2022 is the 30th anniversary of the establishment and implementation of China's manned spaceflight project and the year when the space station will be fully completed.

Under the guidance of the China Manned Space Project News and Propaganda Office, sponsored by the China Aerospace Foundation, and undertaken by the 208th Institute of the Second Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, it adopts a combination of online and offline methods to carry out the "Hand in Hand · Hope" for the whole society. "Tiangong" youth and manned spaceflight face-to-face activities.

In August 2022, the online solicitation activity will be launched first. Astronauts Chen Dong, Liu Yang, and Cai Xuzhe of the Shenzhou 14 crew issued a "calling order" at the China Space Station, and widely solicit works for the "Tiangong Painting Exhibition" from the whole society, especially young people.

After the activity was launched, it received enthusiastic response from schools, parents and teenagers all over the country, and received more than 3,000 paintings from teenagers aged 5 to 18.

Based on the results of expert review and online voting, 40 outstanding works stood out.

On November 29, 2022, these paintings carrying the dreams of young people will be carried into the Chinese Space Station with the Shenzhou 15 manned spacecraft, and will be officially exhibited on New Year's Eve.

According to reports, the "Tiangong Art Exhibition" has been held for two consecutive sessions so far. The first art exhibition will be held at the China Space Station on New Year's Day in 2022, allowing children's aerospace dreams in 11 key areas in the Midwest to win the battle against poverty to blossom into space, and has achieved good social response.

According to the plan, the offline activities of "Hand in Hand·Wangtian Palace" will be fully launched this year.

The works exhibited in the "Tiangong" will return to the ground with the Shenzhou spacecraft. The organizer will choose the opportunity to hold a ground art exhibition, and invite award-winning teenagers and representatives of excellent instructors to watch the rocket launch at the launch site and conduct dialogues and exchanges with astronauts.
