Elon Musk said in a tweet yesterday that Twitter still has about 2,300 working employees.

On Friday, CNBC reported that the number of full-time employees on Twitter had decreased to about 1,300 working employees, including approximately 550 with the title of “engineer.”

The channel quoted internal records that about 75 of the company's employees are on vacation, including about 40 engineers.

The billionaire Musk wrote in his tweet, “The information is incorrect.

There are about 2,300 employees currently working at (Twitter) ».

"There are hundreds more employees working in the trust and safety department, along with several thousand contractors," Musk added.

Musk acquired Twitter in October, quickly proceeded to make a number of changes, and laid off about 50% of the staff.
