Because of a security threat... diverting a Russian plane to Uzbekistan

According to a news report in India, early Saturday morning, a passenger plane (charter / charter) that was on its way from the Russian capital, Moscow, to the state of Goa, in southwestern India, was diverted to Uzbekistan due to a bomb threat inside the plane.

The Indian news agency "Press Trust of India" quoted the police chief as saying that the plane was scheduled to arrive at Dabolim airport, south Goa, at 04:15, with about 240 passengers on board.

The police chief explained that the Russian Azure Air plane was diverted to Uzbekistan before entering Indian airspace.

The agency quoted the official as saying, "The plane was diverted after the director of Dabolim Airport received an e-mail at 12:30 after midnight on Friday/Saturday, stating that a bomb had been planted inside the plane.

This incident comes about two weeks after the emergency landing of a plane heading from Moscow to Goa, at Gujarat Jamnagar Airport in India, due to a bomb threat.
