Shakira builds a "separation wall" between her and her ex-mother-in-law's house

Colombian singer Shakira is building a wall separating her house from the house of her ex-husband's parents, Spanish player Gerard Pique, after the escalation of differences after their separation several months ago, and also after she recently released a song criticizing her ex-husband.

The Spanish newspaper "Marca" said that Shakira's house, in which she previously lived with her husband Pique, is adjacent to Pique's parents' house and no wall separates them.

Shakira planned to move to Miami, but she is still in Barcelona at the present time and lives next to her ex-husband's parents when she released her new song "BZRP Music Session 53" and criticized Pique.

The newspaper reported that many conflicts broke out between Shakira and her former mother-in-law, Montserrat Bernabeu, after the song was released.

She indicated that the Colombian artist is building a wall to permanently separate the two properties, after they have been linked in certain places during the last period.

The newspaper revealed that the cameras recently monitored the presence of a cement mixer truck operating near her house.

She stated that the move came in the wake of many conflicts that took place during the past week, including Shakira placing a large doll resembling the "evil witch" on the balcony of her house facing Pique's parents' house, and it is said that Pique's mother asked to remove it.

There have also been reports of Shakira's new song being played so loudly inside her house that it can be heard nearby.

The lyrics of the song "BZRP Music Session 53", which was written in collaboration with the famous Argentine producer Bizarab, attacked Pique and his new 23-year-old Spanish lover, Clara Xia.

"You go to the gym a lot, take care of your brain too. You traded your Ferrari for a Twingo and your Rolex for a Casio. I won't go back to you, even if you cry and beg me," the song's lyrics read, infused with electronic music and Latin beats.

Pique, 35, had separated from the famous singer in early June of 2021, before they entered into legal disputes regarding the custody of their two children.
