Rami Malek would see himself playing Buster Keaton in a series by Matt Reeves.

The actor would indeed be in full negotiation to play in this project devoted to the hectic life of the American star of silent cinema.

According to

Variety , the

Mr Robot

star

appears to be winning votes at Warner for the role.

It would also not be the first time that Rami Malek takes on the features of a person who really existed, and his performance as Freddie Mercury in

Bohemian Rhapsody

can only play in his favor.

Good start

Buster Keaton was born in 1895 and died in 1966, leaving an indelible imprint in the history of the seventh art in the same way as Charlie Chaplin who was his eternal rival.

Last year appeared

Buster Keaton: A Filmmaker's Life

, a biography by James Curtis which should serve as the basis for this series.

If Warner confirms the project, the writing of the scenario should be entrusted to Ted Cohen who is known in particular for having worked on

Friends

.

In any case, it is clear the resemblance between Rami Malek and Buster Keaton.

All that remains is to hope that the project succeeds!
