The brothers were arrested on December 29 in Bucharest.

- At the request of the prosecutor, the court has agreed to extend the detention of the Tate brothers until February 27, says Ramona Bolla, spokesperson for the country's authority against organized crime.

The authorities suspect that the brothers, together with two Romanian women, created an "organized criminal group with the aim of recruiting and exploiting women".

According to prosecutors, Tate is suspected of planning to exploit women, including by forcing them to create pornographic material.

The women are believed to have been tricked into prostitution with promises of marriage and relationships.
