[Explanation] Paul Pajaček from the Czech Republic has been working and living in Shenyang for more than ten years.

Because of missing the food of his hometown and because he likes to cook, with the encouragement of friends and family, Paul and his Chinese wife opened a restaurant that combines European cuisine. All the food is purchased and prepared by Paul himself.

Recently, the reporter came to Paul's restaurant located in Nan'erjing Street, Shenhe District, Shenyang City, tasted the food cooked by Paul himself, and learned about Paul's entrepreneurial story in China.

In fact, the idea (of opening the restaurant) came from a friend of mine who works in the hospitality industry.

When we were talking about business, he mentioned how much he missed the sausages from home.

So I was thinking, let's make some sausage then.

Because I miss food and meat from Europe too.

It's hard to get traditional European sausage here, so I decided to make sausage.

[Explanation] An exquisite small shop with two dining tables and two sets of bars. Paul's restaurant seems more like a family kitchen, but it almost integrates all traditional European meat products into it, such as Portuguese red wine sausage, ham, aromatherapy black pepper beef, German style White Sausage... Here, diners can not only taste German and Italian cuisine, but also enjoy classic cuisine from Portugal, Poland, Czech and other countries.

At the same time, Paul will also make adjustments according to the taste characteristics of Chinese people.

I also made some flavors that are close to Harbin sausage and they are very popular.

We also adjust the price, try not to be too high, because I make it by hand, so the price I sell does not have to be as expensive as imported ones, this is our special feature.

[Explanation] Paul believes that the reason why Shenyang people accept Czech food is because the food culture in Northeast China is very similar to that in the Czech Republic.

  [Same period] Paul Pachachak

In Czech we have steamed buns.

It looks different from Chinese steamed buns but tastes almost the same.

We have sauerkraut the same as in German.

Many of the dishes I cook, many of the sausages are very similar to (the taste of Northeast cuisine).

There are also some beef products, such as beef stew. The beef stew I make is similar to that in Northeast China.

[Explanation] High-quality ingredients, various tastes, and pure handmade meat products made by Paul have been recognized and praised by more and more people.

now.

Paul not only sells food in the restaurant, but also delivers handmade sausages to major five-star hotels in Shenyang.

  [On-site synchronization]

  Paul: Waiter, it's ready.

[Explanation] Paul's daughter, Wang Xinran, is 16 years old this year. She came to live in Shenyang when she was 5 years old. She speaks Chinese with a slightly northeast flavor.

Every holiday, Xinran would come to the restaurant to help.

  [Concurrent] Paul's daughter Wang Xinran

These are the production steps written by my mother under the guidance of my father. Sometimes there are too many customers in the store, and then my mother is not in the store. I need to help my father to make it. I can know how to do it by watching it up.

[Explanation] Having lived in Shenyang for more than ten years, both father and daughter have developed deep feelings for this place, and have also witnessed the development and changes of Shenyang.

  [Concurrent] Paul's daughter Wang Xinran

When I first came (Shenyang), the houses were relatively old, but now new houses have been built everywhere, and the speed of building houses is also very fast, and the city is much cleaner.

  [Same period] Paul Pachachak

I see many developments that are better than Europe.

Many things are still changing. For example, driving on the street can feel that the air quality is getting better and better.

I see that China is making a lot of changes.

Many people in Europe always say that China is not good here, but that is not good there, but some of my friends came here and they changed their minds completely.

[Explanation] Paul said frankly that life in China is very comfortable, and he will stay here in the future, and hopes to promote his meat products to more people's tables.

  [Same period] Paul Pachachak

Hopefully we will open more franchise stores, some people will be interested in selling these products and food, maybe one day we will open a big factory in China to produce.
