Can we laugh at everything?

Influencer Crazy Sally thinks not.

On Monday, she posted a video on Instagram in which she criticizes the game

You laugh you lose

.

She accuses him of conveying many racist clichés, reports BFM TV.

The goal of this board game published by Dujardin is based on a “duel of not funny jokes to make your opponent laugh”.

If he laughs, he has a pledge.

But for Crazy Sally, some jokes are "uncomfortable" or even "racist".

The influencer gives some examples: “A black man enters the toilet, he comes out white, what happened?

He shit his race”, “Why when you see an Arab fall on a motorbike, you shouldn't laugh?

Because it may be yours” or “Why do dogs bark a lot in China?

Because they are not cooked enough”.

Some cards will be removed from the game

“What is the limit of jokes today?

Am I too sensitive or is the limit well exceeded in this game?

asks the influencer in her video.

Beyond the jokes, she also points out certain cards that ask players to imitate the West Indian, Arabic, Portuguese or Asian accent.

Example: “Why when an Asian child is scolded by his father, he goes to play football?

Because his father says to him “vaféfoot, vaféfoot” ”.

Marketed since 2019, the game

You laugh you lose

was designed by comedian Aziz Aboudrar.

Faced with the controversy, he reacted on Wednesday by posting a press release on his Instagram account.

He apologized "to all the people who may have been hurt, offended, saddened by certain jokes".

He clarified that the game is intended for an audience “over 16 years old” and that it is “intended to make people laugh by taking the jokes in the second degree”.

However, “certain cards that may have been misinterpreted” will be removed from the game. JouéClub has decided to temporarily remove the game from its website.
