The wild boar has not been captured and the police are calling for attention.

According to the police, around 10:00 pm on the 18th, a wild boar rushed into a woman in her 50s who was walking in 13th Furumachi-dori, Chuo-ku, Niigata City.



A woman fell and suffered minor injuries scraping both of her knees.



According to the police, the wild boar is about 60 to 80 centimeters long, and after colliding with the woman, fled eastward and was not captured.



The site was on the street near the intersection in the residential area in the center of Niigata City, and around 9:30 am on the 19th, city officials were patrolling the area.



The police are vigilant by dispatching patrol cars during elementary and junior high school attendance hours, and are calling attention to residents.

A 67-year-old man who has lived near the site for nearly 30 years said, "I've never heard of a wild boar appearing in this area, so I was surprised."



An 80-year-old woman who lives near the site said, "She was surprised to hear that a woman was injured. I will be careful not to go out at night."
