American rapper Flo Rida's claim for damages against beverage manufacturer Celsius Holdings Inc. has paid off.

A Florida jury awarded the singer ("Right Round") nearly $83 million on Wednesday.

Flo Rida, whose real name is Tramar Lacel Dillard, accused the Boca Raton-based company of breach of contract in a 2021 lawsuit.

While he promoted the company's energy drinks from 2014 to 2018 as agreed, he was not contractually entitled to a share of the revenues.

Celsius, on the other hand, had argued that it only made larger profits after the end of the advertising contract with Flo Rida.

During the closing arguments, the rapper's attorneys let the jury know they were not asking for a specific sum of money.

However, Flo Rida claims about one percent of the company.

"We are pleased that the jury has awarded him what he has worked for," said the lawyers of the 43-year-old on Wednesday.
