To create a supportive environment for the local manufacturing community, the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) announced the signing of a long-term partnership agreement with the “Tashkeel” Center to enhance and develop the “Make Works - Emirates” platform aimed at facilitating cooperation between the creative sector, manufacturers and suppliers in the Emirates, and highlighting Highlighting the importance of the manufacturing sector in supporting the cultural and creative industries.

The partnership will support emerging makers, small enterprises and microenterprises by enabling them to promote their businesses on a large scale, and will also organize a series of workshops and sessions for manufacturers, suppliers, creative talents and entrepreneurs.

Make Works - UAE is a directory for local manufacturers and suppliers, and seeks to facilitate communication between local creative and production companies, which contributes to stimulating innovative ideas and translating them into reality, and supports the “Made in UAE” brand.

The platform currently includes data for 20 companies working in wood and leather designs, printing, ceramics, jewelry and others, including 10 companies based in the creative Al Quoz district.
