TV "Let's play!": contests, the new saviors of the chains
There was a time on television in Spain in which the stars were the big contests.
Those contests live, in prime time, once a week, with large stages and a lot of entertainment.
That was lost and
formats such as
1, 2, 3
or
¿Qué abetamos?
, among others.
Well ,
RTVE
recovers that successful formula adapted to the 21st century and does so by the hand of
Zeppelin
, the producer of Big Brother, with the
Todos contra 1
contest .
A contest that in countries like France, the United Kingdom or Norway, where its prime minister came to participate.
How many balloons can five acrobats pop in 60 seconds?
It could be and, in fact, it has been in the presentation of the program, one of the questions that they will have to face on the one hand, a contestant from the set, and on the other, all of Spain.
Yes, all of Spain.
"We are facing the most participatory contest in the history of television
," says Ana María Bordas, director of Entertainment and Dissemination at RTVE.
It's not a lie.
Through an App that "has already been tested and proven", anyone from home can play it against the contestant on set.
To do this,
the 10 challenges that each program consists of do not have an answer that can be searched on Google
or that you can do on your own.
Until the challenge is not carried out live, it is not known what its result will be.
There will be challenges that will range from scientific riddles based on the day-to-day life of any Spaniard, to high-risk sports modalities or exciting action tests in style.
"The idea is to entertain, without further ado. Pure entertainment"
, they insist from RTVE that, for the moment, they did not want to reveal the premiere date or the days of broadcast, although everything indicates that it could be this coming Thursday.
Each show has a different contestant and all the games change and cannot be searched on Google
Miguel Martin (Zeppelin)
For example, the balloon challenge.
From the set,
Rodrigo Vázquez
, the 'face' of RTVE at the moment, will present the test.
At his side or in the distance of the great set from which his partner,
Raúl Gómez
, will be broadcast, who will be in charge not only of carrying out many of the experiments but also of risking his life in those challenges that cannot be carried out live and that they have been recorded.
Let's go back to the balloons.
128 balloons, hung from a ceiling more than 1.50 meters high by some nails and which will have to be exploded by a group of acrobats doing pirouettes on a mat.
The question is asked through the App, the contestant is asked live, and a numerical answer is requested.
Imagine that the contestant answers 90 and at home the average answer is 70. After carrying out the test, it is verified that 58 have been exploited. The victory goes to the people who are at home, which will
accumulate in the pot of those at home the amount of the test
.
The first nine tests are, effectively, to accumulate pot
.
It is in the tenth where all the money is played.
If the contestant on the set wins, he takes the accumulated, if Spain wins, a random search is carried out before a notary to choose one of the participants from home who is called by phone and who will take the jackpot.
Up to 100,000 euros is the amount that both the contestant on set and those from home can win
.
Yolanda Ramos
,
Manu Baqueiro
and
Lorena Castell
will advise the contestant and all of Spain in the first program.
In addition, the contestant who is on the set has two jokers, that of the "brother-in-law", as
Raúl Gómez
calls him , and that of the Province, from whom he can ask for help in any of the challenges.
"Each program has a different contestant and all the games change and cannot be searched on Google.
Of those 10 games there are 6 that are recorded outdoors, in which there is everything
. And there are also 4 that will be done live on set ", explains Miguel Martín, director of Zeppelin.
In addition, to participate you do not need to register.
It can be played simply for the fun of playing as a family.
Of course, the 100,000 euros or the jackpot that has been accumulated during the contest
will only be able to choose those who have registered in the App
.
Because that is the idea with which
Todos contra 1
was born : fun, entertainment and family.
"It is a white program, a program to watch as a family, like that one,
what do we bet?
or
1, 2, 3.
The types of contestants are as wide as our country is. We are looking for people like you, like me, there is no restrictions, no one has closed doors", says
Rodrigo Vázquez
, the RTVE star at the helm not only of
Todos contra 1
but also of
El Cazador
and the second edition of the
Benidorm Fest.
If they ask me to get into a pool with piranhas, I'll say no, period
Rodrigo Vazquez
At his side, the "guinea pig",
the "crazy" guy who will play the game not only in each live program but in each recording
of the most spectacular challenges.
He is
Raúl Gómez
, the presenter who will jump from a parachute if necessary, from a bridge if necessary, in a burning car if necessary, or whatever each challenge requires of the presenter.
"When they called me to do it, they only sent me a few videos of the formats in other countries and I told them:
'I want to be that one,'
" he explains.
That is the co-anchor who plays it.
Rodrigo Vázquez was clear about it, but in reverse.
He, if he was one, was the one on the set:
"I have a lot of appreciation for my physical integrity
. "
the tandem made up of the two presenters is perfect for a format like
All against 1
.
On the one hand, the presenter of the moment,
Rodrigo Vázquez
, "the one that grandmothers and granddaughters adore and to whom RTVE is going to put a monument in Torrespaña", as Gómez says;
and, on the other,
Raúl Gómez
, who moves like a fish in water in this type of "follies".
"I trust Raúl, but I know that some will have me prepared," says the Galician presenter with a laugh.
And it is that although neither RTVE nor Zeppelin have wanted to reveal any of the challenges that can be seen in All against 1, if something has become clear in the presentation of the new contest it is that Rodrigo Vázquez is not going to get off scot-free.
"Let's see, if there is one in which my life does not risk, then I will participate, but
it does not hurt me to say no and it is that no
. Come on, if they propose to me to get into a pool with piranhas, I will say no, and period," he jokes.
