The city of Osaka has decided to carry the dead whale, which was found near the mouth of the Yodo River in Osaka Bay this month, to the shore and sink it, and is coordinating with related organizations.

On the 9th of this month, it was confirmed that the whale found near the mouth of the Yodo River in Nishiyodogawa Ward, Osaka, died on the 13th.



Regarding the whale carcass, the Fisheries Agency's manual shows how to dispose of it by transporting it offshore and sinking it, or pulling it up on land and burying it. .



As a result, this time we have decided to pull the whales out to sea and sink them, and we are coordinating with the relevant organizations.

It is said that the carcass is decomposing and gas is accumulated, so in order to prevent it from exploding, the gas is removed before it is transported offshore.



Osaka City hopes to finish the work by the end of this week.



Mayor Matsui told reporters, "The whale came from the sea, so I want to return it to the sea."



The dead whale has been swept by wind and waves about a kilometer from where it was found and washed up in shallow water near the river bank.



A 73-year-old man who walks nearby every day said, ``After the whale was found, I felt that its movements such as blowing tides were getting weaker day by day.



A 75-year-old woman in the neighborhood said, "I want you to return it to the sea in a natural way."
