Chinanews.com, January 17th, according to Yu Yong, a special researcher at the Oral History Research Center of Nanjing University of the Arts, Yu Hai, the Chinese martial arts "Mantis Boxing King" and "Shaolin Temple" Master Tanzong, died at the age of 81.

  Yu Hai was born in Yantai City, Shandong Province in 1942. When he was 12 years old, he became the sixth-generation successor of Qixing Tanglang Quan under the guidance of Mr. Lin Jingshan, a master of Qixing Tanglangquan.

In 1966, he was appointed as the captain and head coach of the Shandong Wushu Team, leading the Shandong Provincial Wushu Team into the advanced ranks of the country.

  In 1982, 40-year-old Yu Hai was invited to star in the movie "Shaolin Temple" directed by Zhang Xinyan. In the film, he played the role of Jet Li's master, Master Tanzong, and also served as the action martial arts director of the film.

Since then, Yu Hai has collaborated with Jet Li in films such as "Shaolin Boy" and "North and South Shaolin".

  In addition, Yu Hai played Wu Jing's father in "Kung Fu Boys Breaking Through Love", and later cooperated with Wu Jing many times in "Tai Chi Master", "New Shaolin Temple" and "Shaolin King of Wu".

  After hearing the bad news, Wu Jing also sent a message to mourn Yu Hai.
